Day 4 Love Challenge : Overnight Oatmeal Recipe

Do a Random Act of Love.
The Golden Rule: Love your neighbor as yourself.
But what about love the ones you live with as you would love yourself.
In the south we are raised from infancy to be polite to strangers. Open doors and allow others to go first, say excuse me when people bump into you, and smile and say hello even when you have just yelled at your husband or kids. So being kind to strangers just isn't that hard for me.
So the challenge for me lies in how often do we do things for the people we love that we wish they would do for us.
Challenge yourself to do random acts of kindness today for people you live with. This means you do them out of LOVE with no ulterior motive.
Maybe it starts with a special breakfast. My daddy used to wake up and cook me oatmeal before every big test, and it was such a special memory and a great way to start my day feeling extra loved.

PRAYER for TODAY
...love does not boast, it is not proud.
Be humbled by the grace and mercy of The Lord today. Pray that you will love your family with humility so that they will see that you are appreciative of them, especially your spouse. Humility is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength- that you are strong enough to admit you aren't perfect and that you need God, and the other people in your life to get through every day. Pray that your loved ones will face their challenges today with humility, being grateful for all the Lord has blessed them with and lean on Him in our weakness.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never Fails... 1 Cor 13:4-8a
