Trying New Things: Crazy Fruit

When I was at the farmer's market the other day, the girls and I picked out a few "crazy fruits" to try. Here was our selection:

yellow melon- pretty melon-y, like a bland cantaloupe.
Red cactus. Pretty good - melony texture, sweet, but very full of seeds. Would have made a GREAT dye!!
The green cactus was MUCH sweeter, but very seedy as well.
Tomarillo: SOUR! A strong and concentrated flavor.
Cherimoya - Our Favorite! Tasted almost floral, like a honey suckle.
Horned Cucumber: This one was SHOCKING when we cut it open. It tasked like a cucumber, maybe a little sweeter, but not by much.
