Day 5 Love Challenge : Paper Heart Wreath

Cut out a heart from paper (I used scrapbook paper because it was a square like my box lid) and trace it onto a piece of found/ recycled cardboard like the lid of a shoe box or a shirt box.
Then use an exact knife to score the line (lightly trace) then go back to cut out the heart.
Scoring the heart will make it easier to cut along the line.
Cut a smaller heart inside the scrapbook paper heart
Score and cut the inside of the circle.
You will need tissue paper cut into small 2" squares. Don't get obsessive, they don't have to be perfect squares or exactly 2". I used my low temp hot glue gun to attach the paper, but you can use Elmer's if you are working with kids, or only have a normal HOT hot glue gun.
Pinch each square in the middle into a little flowery shape. Put a small, thin line of glue on the cardboard and quickly stick on your little paper flower. Keep adding rows of paper tucking them very close together for fullness.
Then you can hot glue on a ribbon for the hanger.
If you have red tissue paper left over from Christmas, you could make it with red too, you just might want to paint the heart red first so that you can't see any holes.
PRAYER for TODAY
Love does not dishonor others...
I think this is a hard one for wives. It seems socially acceptable to laugh and mock our husbands in the presence of other women, you know like "...oh [stupid] men" with the implied word stupid and sometimes even iced with a bless his heart, if you looking for a Southern justifications for dishonoring someone. But this is not right. Love does not dishonor others... this includes and is not limited to condescending tones, mocking voices, sharing the weakness of others for a laugh, and sarcasm (which is condescending).
Pray today to feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit when you are thinking about dishonoring your loved ones. Pray that those thoughts and words will be replaced with compliments about their character and strengths. Pray for your loved ones that they will choose to speak with love today, and avoid hurting others by dishonoring them.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never Fails... 1 Cor 13:4-8a
