The New Generation of Quilters (with Free Quilt Pattern Downloads)

I have been on a bit of a quilting kick for about 2 years now, obsessing over fabrics, but I have only finished 1 baby lap quilt. Quilting has been in my life for as long as I can remember. My Nanny (my dad's mom) was a serious quilter. Many of my memories of her are with a big, giant quilt set up in her living room, and she sat in a wooden rocking chair or not so comfortable kitchen chair and hand quilted every day. Even after her Alzheimer's was pretty advanced, she could still quilt.
My Aunt Ann carries on the tradition for her generation. And now I'm going to try to continue the Bradford tradition.
That is me with my Nanny!
I didn't think quilting was for me until I came across a few fabric designers who are changing the world of quilting. I am currently up to my eyeballs quilting for a wedding present. It's a King size quilt made from all vintage fabrics (a bit of a leap in skill levels). I made up the pattern and I promise to share it with you when the quilt is finished! So, for now I share my quilting inspirations. Someday I hope to be able to quilt amazing quilts like these designers, and my Nanny.
