When I got my Paint By Numbers Paintings they were in these dark outdated wooden frames.
Then I painted them white, but I only did one coat because I knew that wasn't the solution either.
I decided to accent my favorite part of the paintings, the orange/ coral barns.
I think this colored frame really enhances the paintings and helps it to look modern.
